Academic Partners

At PA Distance Learning Charter School, we believe in providing our students with a full spectrum of opportunities for both college and career readiness. Our robust network of Academic Partners is designed to enhance the traditional curriculum by connecting students with real-world experience, industry certifications, and college credit before graduation.

From specialized pre-apprenticeship programs in fields like cybersecurity and construction to valuable dual-credit partnerships with leading colleges and universities, explore how PDLCS empowers our students to get a head start on their future.

PDLCS Dual Credit Program

Qualified 11th and 12th-grade students can earn both high school and college credit by completing online college-level courses that align with their selected Career Pathway. Each completed Dual Credit course is worth 0.6 high school credits, comparable to a semester-long AP or Honors course.

Students participating in the Dual Credit program must still complete all required core content courses through PA Distance. Successful completion of a Dual Credit course also counts as one artifact toward Act 158 Graduation Requirements.

All coursework is completed through the college.

College in High School

Our featured program with Rosedale Tech serves as a college-in-high-school program. PA Distance teachers instruct the courses and the students receive both PA Distance and Rosedale Tech credit.
