Whether it is a field trip, a club, or an organization, PA Distance provides these resources and many more to enhance the learning experience for each and every student.
Field trips have included the Just Ducky Tour in Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg.
Students can also participate in extra-curricular sports, musicals, activities, and clubs at the home school where they live.
PA Distance now has its own school newspaper, The Cyber Chronicles. The Cyber Chronicles is a student run newspaper that will cover topics such as music, fashion, current events (local, national and world), movies,
writing (poetry, fiction, fantasy), food, student and teacher spotlights, an advice column, nature and animals and other various things of interest. The Cyber Chronicles is comprised of several PA Distance students and advised by Miss Russo and Mr. DeJoseph.
Recently, PA Distance launched the Sixth Grade Times, a student-written newsletter. The Sixth Grade Times is comprised of several sixth grade students and advised by Ms. Spencer.
PA Distance also has its own literary magazine, Imagination on the Run. Imagination on the Run is a bi-yearly magazine written and compiled by PA Distance students, and it includes poetry, short stories, plays, and art.
As PA Distance continues to grow, more and more opportunities will be added to benefits the students’ educational experiences.
